Description
The Velvet Underground and Nico, produced by Andy Warhol on Verve V-5008 mono yello Dj Copy.
As with any DJ copy this has the infamous "Torso," cover which would later be withdrawn.
I have included many oversized pictures to scrutinize condition. A decent copy, and I will primarly focus on the negatives so there are no suprises. I apologize for the horrible quality of the pictures. The record cover is not as dark as these pictures depict it. My camera and lighting were pretty bad. I just added 2 different pictures of cover under better light, please see all of them.
Also this auction ends Saturday, Dec 17th. Pay when you buy or the 18th, and I will ship Mon the 19th.
Cover Condition : Banana is obviously peeled. There is a pen mark on front cover, and next to it not as noticable is "Tickets" It is faded. If I had to guess the radio station had tickets and it was a reminder for the dj to announce it. There are NO seam splits, or spine splits. There is a small tear on spine but very small and not too noticable. Some corners are slightly bent. The inside cover is clean, but does have a one inch split in the center. I know I focused mainly on the bad things on the cover, but it is still a decent cover!
The record labels are very clean.
The record itself does have some light surface scuffs-and about 3-4 hairline scratches on each side, I played it through and it did not skip, some background noise, but not bad at all. I enjoyed it-however VU is one of my all time favorites.
