Description
I recall buying this new back at time of release, and I don't remember playing it more than a handful of times. It's been in storage for the past 20+ years so I've rescued it, given it a clean and spun it up to see how it sounds, and the answer is - it sounds great!
The condition of everything seems excellent to me. The outer sleeve is just showing a few marks from handling and storage, the spine looks great. The inner sleeves look great, the vinyl looks great. I've played all 4 sides all the way through and all played without noticeable skips or scratches. Some surface crackling which is to be expected, but generally excellent. The only real blemish I can find is some discolouration to the centre labels on both sides of record 1, which I've tried to capture in the pics. I note some others on eBay have a similar discolouration, so I wonder if this was a "feature" of this pressing.
The run-outs of the 4 sides are marked as follows:
Record 1, Side 1: HUTLP 27 A-01-01-1- Record 1, Side 2: HUTLP 27 B-01-014-1- Record 2, Side 1: HUTLP 27 C-01-01-1- Record 2, Side 2: HUTLP 27 D-01-01-2
Additionally they seem to be stamped with a "D" and also what looks like the initials "JA", which all seems to confirm an original pressing.
I think that's everything - it's difficult to capture all of this in the pics, but I've done my best! I wouldn't want any purchaser to be disappointed with what they're buying, so please take a good look at these if you're interested, and if I've missed anything or you'd like any more info please me know.
I'm unlikely to listen to this again so it should really go to a new home. I'll do my best to post within 24 hours of receiving payment.
