Description
The Verve: Urban Hymns Ltd Ed Mailer Vinyl HUTLPX45 1997
This is a very rare Mailer Sleeve version of The Verve's classic 1997 album Urban Hymns. This release was limited to 5000. I don't think many, if any, made it to the shelves as I had to pre-order mine in order to guarantee a copy. Mine was bought in Spillers Records, Cardiff.
I bought quite a few vinyl during the 90s/early 2000s with the intent of starting a vinyl collection, but decided to concentrate on CDs due to space and ease of listening. Therefore all the vinyl I'm selling is either unplayed or played once when bought. The vinyl is in Mint condition. The sleeve has some minor wear, specifically the corners, from sitting on my shelf. I've included photos of all the marks I can see as I feel it's better to show everything rather than the buyer be surprised and annoyed on opening. The actual record sleeve and inner sleeves, however, are Near Mint. I graded them down from Mint to be on the safe side as, as you can see in one pic, the pressure of being in between other records on a shelf has caused pressing so you can see the outline of the record.
I have packaged the record as a homemade parcel that is extremely well protected. I haven't personally had any problems sending or receiving vinyl in standard packaging, but friends have, so decided to make the parcel so well protected that damage will only occur should someone deliberately try to smash it!
I always try to offer the cheapest and quickest form of tracked postage which is First Class Small Parcel (£4.85). The parcel weighs in at 788g and is 35x35x6, right on the limit for a Small Parcel (35cm width). If the Post Office want to be their pedantic usual self and say it's a couple of mm over, I won't ask for more in P&P but take the hit myself. I do not charge for packaging.
I've added postage options for Europe, but if you're elsewhere in the world, please contact me for postage prices. For international bidders, please send me a message for information on possible post-Brexit customs charges. Please be aware that if you choose International Standard delivery, this is at your own risk. It is probably better for your own peace of mind to choose International Signed as this also includes tracking.
I also have other items up for auction (or soon to be) including the also very rare (5000 copies) Urban Hymns Singles Mailer comprising of 4 x 12"s (Sonnet, Bittersweet Symphony, The Drugs Don't Work and Lucky Man).
Any other questions, please send me a message.
Thanks for looking.
