Description

This is the very first south african rock and roll group - record made in 1959 "Rock party at the club pepsi with the Vikings" The Vikings comprised of members Chris smith on sax and pennywhistle ; Paul Ditchfield (Later of Impi and the Bats) pianist ; Peter Michael on trumpet"; Tony shaw on drums; Jimmy Kennedy on guitar; Harold Miller on double bass, Al Bentley on vocals; Kwelatones - vocal group led by Jimmy Theunnissen. Record compises a mixed bag of music from basic pop, rock and roll, guitar, some light pennywhistle. Only two tracks with vocals. The record is excellent condition. Cover has seam split bottom edge but can be repaired. No writing on cover, no tears, no ring wear nice clean cover considering age. A nice collectors item for the fan of old south african music
