Description
Up for auction is an original first pressing of The Village Fugs "Ballads of Contemporary Protest, Point of Views, and General Dissatisfaction" on Broadside Records BR 304. This was the first release of the album before the following year in 1966, when the band shortened their name to The Fugs, and this album was re-issued as "The Fugs' First Album" on ESP Disk.
The record has been carefully play tested, and is being graded as EX condition as it plays cleanly throughout, and only has rare moments of light noise between tracks. Side one visually looks EX+ as there are no visible hairlines. Side 2 visually grades as EX- as there are some hairlines, but they do not affect play at all.
The jacket is in VG+ condition showing very little wear, no tears or writing with only a few minor chafes on the spine and edges (see photos).
This copy does NOT (unfortunately) include the original insert. Still, it would make a fine addition to somebody's collection as it's hard to find in general, and even harder to find in this condition.
