Description

The Wailers – ‘Love Won’t Be Mine’ / ‘Put It On’ – Island WI 268 (UK)

Two Studio One sides back-to-back. This is a rare UK Island original pressing of two songs originally released on the Coxsone label in Jamaica as ‘I’m Gonna Put It On’ and ‘Love Won’t Be Mine This Way’ (as by Bob Marley & The Wailers).

Condition: VG or thereabouts. The rarely heard ‘Love Won’t Be Mine,’ a slow, romantic ska – in my opinion, the more interesting side – grades better than that, but ‘Put It On’ exhibits some distortion and would probably rate only VG–. You will be purchasing this copy for ‘Love Won’t Be Mine’. Please listen to the sound files, and you will get a good idea. Still, it’s a rare record in any condition and not to be sniffed at.

Shipping: US $6.50 within Europe, US $8.00 to the rest of the world. Registered and insured shipping is an additional US $13.00. Please contact me for combined shipping rates.

Please reply within three days after auction close. Payment via Paypal expected within seven days. Will not be held responsible for uninsured shipping.

Happy to answer any questions. Please see my other reggae and rocksteady auctions.

Thanks for looking and good luck!
