Pressing: Early pressing with matrix numbers on side 1 and side 2 ending in A//1 and B//1 respectively. This copy comes with only 11 of the 12 inserts that originally came with this LP. The insert that is missing and is not present is the large black and white poster of the who 'maximum r&b'.

The writing on the front of the Gatefold sleeve is in Red and not Black.

Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Very Good + (Quite a sharp and clear sound, slight audible crackle throughout the tracks, slight background noise in between tracks, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, few light barely audible pops on the first song on side 1 and one or two light pops/clicks throughout the rest of side 1. Side 2 is free from any pops/clicks. VG sound quality (Playtested 3rd December 2007)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Very Good (less than three or four handfuls or so of very light superficial hairline marks over both sides of the record, these do not affect playback in any way, there is not a deep raised scratch in sight of any significance, there is also 5 or 6 minute tiny spots of white paint on the surface of side 1. I am not really sure how they got there but they are all about the size of a very small crumb and are barely visible but they do cause some of the light audible pops on side 1 that were mentioned above, looks to have been played on a number of occasions by looking at spindle marks and it has been looked after and cared for reasonably well, labels are very clean with no rips/tears to the label, there is no serious wear around the spindle holes)

Album Cover Grade: Excellent (no bottom edge or spine splits, only slight rubbing on the spine and edges, hardly any ringwear on the front and the back that is noticeable, no major corner creasing on front cover apart from a tiny top left corner crease, no major corner creases on the rear cover,  no major rips or tears to the sleeve, only slight corner rubbing, there is no pen marks/writing on the sleeve, there is very little discolouration and staining on this sleeve, overall an nice sleeve)

MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
