The Who My Generation LAT.8616 Brunswick 1st Press NM
Very nice copy of The Who's 1st album "My Generation" on the UK Black and Silver Brunswick label from 1965.
This was released on Mono only, there was no stereo release.
Laminated front cover is NM beautiful and bright with no tears and would look brilliant framed. The pinched spine is fully readable and unsquashed! The back has a few light discolouration marks as can be seen in the photos but actually don't look like that to the naked eye! :) there is also a small tear to the back opening that needs to be mentioned. These sleeves were very thin as were made cheaply in b&w and weren't laminated, and don't usually survive in more than good condition (a bit like the beatles Hottest hits). Decca obviously didn't think The Who would be more than a passing Fad.
This comes complete with it's original Inner which are often missing or not even mentioned at all!
As can be seen, this has hardly been played and is in an EX or NM condition all round with no scratches or needle marks.
The 2014 Record Collector "Rare Record Price Guide" currently has this valued at £800.
