Description
Soho Music are proud to present this original 1973 US concert poster for The Who at the Cow Palace, San Francisco on November 20th 1973. This first printing poster, measures 18" x 25.5" approximately and is in EXC condition with just some edge foxing and fairly extensive foxing to the back of the poster. This concert kicked off the Quadrophenia Tour and is legendary for the fact that Keith Moon was so wiped out, he twice passed out on his drum kit before being deemed too far gone to carry on. Pete Townshend asks if anyone in the audience can play drums, and up steps Scott Haplin, 19 years old to finish off the final three songs. Has "#Who" in biro to top left back of the poster. Artwork by David Singer.
