The Who - The Who Sell Out - Stereo (Ultra Rare) - Stickered Sleeve - Poster - ALL ORIGINAL - ALL TOGETHER SINCE FIRST PURCHASED
This is a fantastic item and will suit any collector up to the perfectionist.
It is a complete The Who Sell Out including sticker on the front and the rare poster inside. This combination tells you thins is not a mish-mash of different record/sleeve/poster but a complete, as original set. It is in fantastic condition which for this item is a real rarity. Mostly they tend to be missing either the sticker, the poster or the patents pending text. This text on the sleeve shows it was a first run on the printing press and therefore the earliest sleeve you can get. Now for the description.
Sleeve : The sleeve is beautifully preserved with a near perfect laminate sheen. It does have a few light creases at the opening and near the spine but it is really great. The corners are sharp and only have the lightest scuffing/laminate wear. It has the spine intact and only the bottom corner is slightly scuffed. The sticker is present on the front and has no signs of being picked at or written on.

Record : I have listened though carefully to the record and it is fantastic. I found it hard to hear any sounds that aren't recorded by the artists. It is really top notch. It has been played and the spindle marks show this but it has also been very carefully looked after. Side 1 is really nice and all the quiet bits are exactly that - quiet. The label is really good and has only light but numerous spindle marks. Side 2 is also really good and whilst it is a magical sound and really full mix it does have a couple of areas of faint popping around track 2 . This could only be heard very slightly on the quiet areas but it was negligible. This is the one part of this item you could change but you would find it really hard to get a stereo copy as good as this I promise you.

Poster : This is the most important bit of the set. The poster is immaculate with only 3 bad points.
1. It shows a few signs of warping across the middle. This is probably caused by being stored away somewhere for 40 odd years.
2. It has a couple of water marks. This again is probably a result of storage. It has not been exposed to liquid just a slight dampness. It is marked visually very slightly but has no physical deterioration.
3. there are a few points of creasing and where the paper has thinned a little these are only maybe a cm sq so nothing at all. If you would like close ups of these areas please message me with your email address and I will send them to you.
Apart from these tiny blotches the poster looks like it has hardly been opened up and has definitely never seen a bedroom wall. It has slight yellowing as any paper item from the 60's has and it also has that musty aroma you get with old collectables
