We’re having a bit of a clearout of stuff at home so I’ve put my usual eBay sales of art and ephemera mostly to one side for a couple of weeks. I’ve got a large personal collection of vinyl, lots of which I don’t play any more, so one of the things I will be selling is records. The Kids Are Alright, The Who’s seventh single, was released in March 1966 (although the label gives 1965). It was their least successful single to that date (apart from Zoot Suit, their first single, which did not chart), reaching only 41 in the UK. As a consequence it is among the most difficult of Who singles to track down these days.
Thie example is in decent played condition. It does have light scratches to both sides but plays well, with no pops, clicks or other distracting interference. I’ve included hi-res images of the labels. You can see that these are in nice clean condition. The record still has its original sleeve although that is quite stained to the reverse (see images above). I will include a brand new white sleeve with the record when I post it, in case you want to throw the original away.
