Description
An original 1971 pressing on the UK Track label. Matrix A1/B2-A1/B3. Both vinyls are the heavy-set type and come housed in an original gatefold that opens out [tri-fold]. Also included is the original booklet and the original plastic bag warning inners [with identical coding]. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and clearly have only seen the lightest use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. These early Track pressings are by far the best way to hear this rock-opera classic. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. Interference is minimal - all we detected was a touch of light static in a couple of isolated moments. Very little at all really and, in reality, this copy would be a difficult one to beat.
Cover (Vg+) In nice shape is only exhibiting a bit of light handling wear. The front is great condition - with just a sticker removal mark showing. The rear is showing a bit of ringwear, but otherwise not too bad at all. Edge wear is light, but more noticeable on the spine. The interior is pretty much perfect except for one signature above a light bulb. Overall the integrity of the cover is excellent and well above average for what is a soft-card construction.
Booklet (Ex+) Perfect shape. No ageing or tears at all. Note -The booklet is not numbered.
Inners (Ex) No splits, just lightest of ageing.
