The Who Who Are You dbx encoded Super Disk. 1980 dbx issue of the Who’s 1978 album Who Are You. As are doubtless aware if you have clicked on this listing, you need a dbx decoder to play this album as it was meant to be heard. It will not sound right on a normal stereo system without a dbx decoder to decode the encoded music on the disc.
Sleeve is clean with no ringwear. Spine is flat, with album text readable and undamaged, as shown in photos.
Original dbx custom inner sleeve is present, as is the original dbx explanatory brochure and the original postcard to send in to the dbx company to request more titles.
Record is clean. Labels are clean, with no spindle marks. With a dbx encoder in your system, this record is a pretty stunning showcase for the dbx process. The coin drop at the beginning of “Music Must Change” is an audiophile “wow” moment. To my ears, the dbx process struggles to decode Keith Moon’s cymbals at times, but, other than that, the process/mastering technique works pretty much as advertised. “Music Must Change” and “Trick of the Light” have enormous dynamic range on this pressing. The dbx process also eliminates most, but not all, surface noise and minor pops and ticks.

Please review my 100% positive feedback as an eBay seller and buy with confidence. While I do not list poor condition records on eBay, any flaws will be pointed out in advance so that you are not surprised when your record arrives. Your record will be packed in a dedicated record mailer, with cardboard inserts and bubble wrap used as necessary to ensure that it arrives safely. To avoid seam splits or damage to original custom inner sleeves, your record will be packed and shipped in a new inner sleeve when necessary.
Over the next several months, I will be listing batches of records on Wednesday and Sunday evenings. I will combine shipping at $1.00 per record on the second and third records of each order. For example, if you buy a batch of three records, Media Mail shipping will be $6.00, or $4.00 for the first record, and $1.00 each for the second and third records. For batches of more than three records, I will have to break the shipments up into separate mailings, so shipping for the fourth record would again be $4.00, shipping for records five and six $1.00 each, and so on. At the end of each batch of auctions on Wednesdays and Sundays, I will scan the results for multiple orders from the same buyer and send an invoice for combined shipping when necessary, but if you want to a shoot me a message reminding me that you have made multiple purchases and need combined shipping, please do not hesitate to do so.
While I have had better luck in recent months with Media Mail shipping relatively quickly, please be aware that there have been delays with Media Mail and that you have the option to choose Priority Mail if faster delivery is a priority.
Given the volume of records I will be listing, I cannot play grade each album in its entirety, but will drop the needle on at least the first track. As you are doubtless aware if you collect vinyl, some surface noise and pops and ticks are inherent in the medium. All records will be listed as a 7 day auction starting at $1.00 with no reserve.
