Description

A genuine 1st of the 1st pressings of 'Who's Next' on UK Track. Matrix A1/B2. Etching 'MG12888'. Make no mistake about it this is the true 1st pressing of this record. The record comes housed in its original Macneill Press cover with pinched spine. Also included is the original 'Head Hunter' inner sleeve which were only issued with the very first copies.
Viny (Ex+) Wowzers..boy has this LP been looked after! It looks as shiny as the day it rolled off the press. Under close inspection I cannot make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. It doesn't take a genius to work out why these very 1st copies are the go to version for best audio. Perfect reproduction all the way through the audio spectrum and excellent tonal balance. We detected a couple of very light static crackles right at the start of each side and then very little else worthy of note. This really is the definitive rendition of this classic album.
Cover (Ex) Has been well cared for too. The front is clear of any markings or ageing. The rear only exhibits the very lightest of handling wear. The openings are still sharpish and there's only some light wear to the spine. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Difficult to better I'd imagine...
Inner (NM) Unbelievable condition...Any ageing?...nope, zip, nada, nilcho! Any rips or markings?...nope!
