Album sleeve

Robert Stace printed making this THE EARLIEST first issue. NOT the Clout & Baker which is a later  album cover. Single , laminated front face ,again be careful, as the later issues have a fully laminated sleeve. This only has front lamination which was only made on these very first presses. Ultra clean reverse cover and what a vision to behold. Just a slight 5 cms feathering to opening edge and that is the only blemish on this magnificent cover. Early clipped spine with NO laminate creases. Unfaded ,front face displaying a vivid and strong coloration and believe me , I have not come across a better sleeve than this. As the back is unlaminated, most are found heavily soiled and yellowed but this cover is so clean and is quite amazing for a vintage sleeve.Only a slight ring wear visible, limited to left upper lateral  only, lightly handled and a delight to view. Almost impossible to locate like this and is has a lovely fresh feel with a smooth, glasslike reflection from outer front face. A stunning example. Ex ++ !!

Inner sleeve

Polylined with important care instructions blue text with 2 slight nicks in papered exterior. Excellent- condition.

Audio

Most important feature of any vinyl.

Very lightly played indeed and very carefully handled.

Opens with near silent grooves with hardly a crackle to be heard!! A magnificent aural delivery with that extra loud cut engineering that only those very first presses can convey ! This earliest first UK press is heard at its very, very best ! Most important is the mono perspective, favoured by most vinyl collectors and this audio gives a delivery like no other.

I have not heard a better delivery of My Generation , with no surface disturbance and with these exceptional clear channels, convey one of the best aural deliveries of the title track that I have ever had the pleasure to hear !Transmitted with the deepest guitar bass and with an exquisite clarity. No surface disturbance of any kind , delivering tones with a pinpoint precision and a razor sharp edge. NO distortion can be detected and must be the most awesome delivery of rock talent ever heard.

Only fault is one split second ,solitary pop from a miniscule fingernail scratch during one of the tracks, hardly noticeable when viewed. Virtually faultless apart from that, and extremely rare to locate in this condition.

Electric guitar bashes are unbelievable , accompanied by Moon’s percussion beat which is given that extra depth and panache from the mono aural delivery. Will not get better than this. Near perfect delivery believe me , with hardly a hiss or a crackle. Exceptionally clear channels with very little to fault !!Excellent channels and considerably better for the most part of this remarkable record.

Labels

Black/silver first press ridged ,textured labels. What a vision are these! Only a very light spindle trace with NO mottling. No peeling..No hand writing…No lifting…No tearing…No obvious spindle wear..Silver text is clear , prominent and unfaded. The microgroove in  concentric perfection around central hole. Excellent +++ ! ! ! Absolutely awesome matt black labels which are so rare to locate in this condition. Not a heavily played vinyl as is indicated here as this is the heart of the record. Shows a very carefully and lightly played vinyl ….

Vinyl

Thick, heavyweight, chunky first UK pressing and gives a buzz when held. Under ordinary light, only displaying one or two light surface/hairlines which fade into insignificance as the beauty of the vinyl overwhelms you… just an infintessimal fingernail scratch which is almost impossible to observe beneath its stunning sheen  .Polished, mirror like surfaces very similar to mint vinyl appear stunning under ordinary light. A vision spectacular of one of the rarest and most collectable  records  in the history of the rock/pop world.

Please do not miss this very rare exhibit of this awesome release. Possibly the best example ever offered to you, especially with one of the best audios ever heard from this magnificent rock classic…Sensational in every respect, visually and aurally.... pure investment quality and one to be treasured for many years to come..

Simply stunning…
