Suishou No Fune formed in 1999 and has since been a place for collaborators Pirako Kurenai (who plays guitar and provides vocals) and Kageo (another guitarist) to serve up devastatingly simple yet languorous experimental soundtracks. Their new album, which translates as The wind is spring. There is a rainbow in the sky. Love is hiding in the waves, is a document that captures them playing live in May 2021 alongside Matsuedo Hideo on bass and Mark Anderson on drums. It begins with drawn-out drifts and moves onto the mesmeric guitars of 'Endless Descent' with their hypnotic one-chord strums. A majestic listen for sure.
