Description
Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.
Grading is based on visual inspection.
Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve.
I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.
- These records are Mint.
- This is a Promo that came with the Radio Station Timing stickers unattached inside the Gatefold slip case. One of the two stickers is missing.
- This is a First Pressing on the orange Epic label. The matrix ends in 1A on all four sides.
- The older tracks are Mono. The Odessey and Oracle tracks are stereo.
- The single piece board Gatefold cover has tight seams but shows storage wear including a scuff along the opening edge and 2 corner bumps.
- Seller got this new from the CBS rep in 1974. It has been in storage for 41 years.
Time of the Zombies was a two-disc compilation album of music by the British band, The Zombies. It contained hits, non-album singles, previously unreleased tracks intended for a planned posthumous album named 'R.I.P.' which was never released,[and the whole of their April 1968 album (recorded in 1967), Odessey and Oracle. It was released on Epic Records (cat. no.: REG 32861) in 1974, several years after the group had disbanded.
Paul Weller stated in an interview with BBC Radio 4 in December 2012 that this compilation was how he first heard Odessey and Oracle, his favourite album of all time.
