Description
Deep groove. The jacket is identifie3d as WING( a Mercury subsidiary). The jacket has the catalog number of MGW 60005. The jacket information exactly corresponds to the record. I don't understand this substition but this is not the first time the jackets have not exactly corresponded to the record in terms of label identification. Vocalist Gracen sings on 12 tunes with Quen Anderson, trombone; George Auld, tenor sax; Lou Levly, piano; Barney Kessel, guitar; Joe Comfort, bass; Sid Balkin, drums. Recorded in 1955. Fine jazz vocalist,. Very hard-to-find.
Cover: Good+ 2" and 1" split on the bottom edge. Slight peeling of the lamination mainly along the insert edge and top spine corner. Possible light fading on the front cover. Minor aging on the back cover.
Record: VG to VG+ Visually shows no wear. There are a small number of extremely light surface brush-like rub marks and 1 clearly visible surface rub mark. These do not effect the sound. While the record seems to have been played only a few times, there are a few intervals of light groove noise on several tracks. The sound is light and not continious. Audibly checked.
