Description
4 tracks includes leader, Monk, piano; Gary Mapp, bass; Art Blakey, drums. 4 tracks with the same personnel but Max Roach replaces Blakey on drums. Notes by Ira Gitler.
Cover: VG Slight soil that follows the general pattern of a record ring. 2" split on the top edge at the insert edge and a 2" split on the top edge near the spine. Light aging and a minor light transparent stain on the back cover.
Record: VG+ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. There are no markings on the vinyl surface. Except for a few intervals of li9ght groove noise and a rar, occasional , light click, no surface noise. Most of trhe slight noise described occurs on Track 1, Side A. This slight noise may be in the early Prestige pressing. Moderately heavy vinyl pressing with what appears to be a flat edge. The VG+ part of the rating takes into consideration the slight noise described. Fine overall condition. Probably played only a few times. Audibly checked.
