Description
Here Comes the Night - Them Parrot PA-61005 - Mono - 1965
Early mono press performed at the Decca Gloversville plant. Where the first pressing emphasized "Here Comes the Night", "Gloria" takes top billing here. Cover has slight wear. Seams and spine are strong. The labels, while in good condition, Side One was personalized twice, with one of the names being completely (and neatly) obscured with black Marks-a-Lot. One name remains. Side Two is clean. While we are on the subject of marking one's territory, the back cover has a black Marks-a-Lot box, too.
I don't remember a huge wave of album thefts in 1965, but I was still pretty young and sheltered. Enough on that.
The vinyl is clean and shiny like it was new. A pleasure to play and to listen to.
It's difficult to find a really good copy of this album at a reasonable price. I found two in the last year, I'm keeping one and here's the other at, what I think, is a reasonable price. You've got to hear this album!
Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks!
