Description
On offer here is Them's debut LP from 1965 sometimes known as The Angry Young Them. This is an original Decca UNBOXED red mono label LP and is extremely difficult to find today.
This is a fantastic LP which still sounds great today and features the debut of Van Morrison. He certainly makes this album his own with a great vocal performance and is the truly ANGRY ONE. This album should have sold well, but for some reason didn't and so first pressings are very scarce indeed.
The sleeve is in respectable condition with some laminate creases on the front and the usual age wear on the rear of the cover. It is all fully intact and the spine fully readable. I will grade as Good to Very Good Condition.
The LP as you would expect has been played quite a lot but has been well cared for. There is some spindle wear and light hairlines on the vinyl indicative of sleeve removal so is graded as Very Good Condition.
The record plays well on my stereo, it really is a classic LP and a great listen. Both sides play with great clarity and there is just light static at the start and inbetween the tracks. This in my opinion does not spoil the enjoyment of this record. I am grading the record as VG+ Condition.
Matrix numbers are Side 1 ARL68194A and Side 2 ARL68203A.
This would make a great addition to any Van Morrison fan or 60's R &B Collection and although not mint is in very respectable condition.
WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU SAW A FIRST PRESSING OF THIS LP ON EBAY. THEY VERY RARELY COME AROUND AS THIS IS A HIGHLY PRIZED RECORD.
