Description
THE HOLY GRAIL OF THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS RECORDINGS. The Wiggle Diskette is They Might Be Giants' first official release, a one-sided 7" round flexi-disc released on March 30, 1985. It features two tracks: "Everything Right Is Wrong" and "You'll Miss Me" which would both resurface (much reworked) in their later albums. This DIY masterpiece, however, was produced in a limited edition of 1000 copies, many distributed by stapling or taping bagged copies to telephone poles and street signs around Manhattan. As well as nailing them to trees around Tompkins Square Park. Much more info at the official wiki of the band: this might be a wiki. http://tmbw.net/wiki/Wiggle_Diskette
This copy, however, has been in my care since its release. Sent to me by a cohort of the band. NEVER LISTENED TO. Still in its original plastic bag, should you feel like nailing it to a tree. That said, hard to imagine a more pristine, rare, and collectible copy. Some minor creasing to the sleeve, but really, this record is a survivor. Intended for the true TMBG fan.
Also listing a very early TMBG cassette, shown in the last photo.
