Description

An original 1st press on UK Vertigo from 1978. Matrix 3/2/1/1. Etching - Utopia motif 'Lyre'. The vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover. Also included are both original bespoke inner sleeves. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. Will ship with custom poly-lined inners for maximum protection.
Vinyl (Ex+) In beautiful condition and don't look far off new. Under close inspection I couldn't make out more than a couple of slightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. An absolute stormer of a copy - it just delivers perfect audio from start to finish. Precisely what any collector should be tracking down. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Can't fault it really...Even into the quieter moments really nice and clean. You might detect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side [e.g. the opening seconds of 'Cowboy Song']. But this is about as clean as it is humanly possible to find.
Cover (Ex+) Wowzers..this cover is original to '78 - but you'd never believe it looking at it. It is absolutely pristine. These LD covers are notorious for wear, but this example really has been looked after by one fastidious individual. Front and back are perfectly flat without a crease or a single sign of wear. The interior continues this theme - perfect. There's no edge wear at all and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% perfect. Sweet!! Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Ex/Ex+) Absolutely superb with NO splits.
