This album should be a part of everybody's 100 disc collection regardless of if it is a mostly classical or heavy metal collection of music. This is simply one of the most ambitious projects put together. The concept is strong, songs are beautiful, arrangements incredible and the mood created is fantastic. I have heard very recently that Ivo Watts Russell presently lives on the East Coast of US where he has opened an animal shelter. It sounds like again he must be getting a lot of satisfaction out of his life's work. At 4AD he had established a home for Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, Clan Of Xymox and others, but This Mortal Coil's Filligree & Shadow could be the brightest jewel Ivo has generated. Please give it a chance, unless you are afraid it might be too artsy for you.( The cover has some ring wear, and a split on top seam about 3 inch's. There is some sticker residue and the number 29 written in pencil.( all this is visible in the photos) The vinyl is excellent to NM.
