Description
An original and very rare UK 1984 1st Press copy of This Mortal Coil - This Mortal Coil. It includes the beautiful & haunting Song To The Siren - see photos for full track listing.
Released on the 4AD label and mastered at the legendary Townhouse studios , this is an A1 B1 1st Press with printed inner sleeve.
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter and the vinyl has come up sparkling clean with glossy lustre retained. A few faint scuffs, trace lines & marks visible but nothing remotely feelable. Clean labels and spindle holes - graded VG+
Playback reveals a wide, open & detailed sound with great depth and power - a captivating listening experience. It plays through beautifully with no jumping or sticking - some isolated low noise/crackle in places but nothing unusual for vinyl of this vintage.
The outer sleeve is clean, solid & smooth with light age related wear & creasing. Good readable spine ( see photos). No writing, stains, tears, splits or tape.
The original printed inner sleeve is present & in good condition with wearthrough to the bottom. We have popped the record into a brand new poly lined inner sleeve to keep it pristine after cleaning - you will receive this also.
