Description
I'm having a clearout of my old vinyl, and so . . .
In November 1980 I saw Thompson Twins supporting Teardrop Explodes and was suitably impressed enough to buy this, their first single, at the gig. This was before part of the band later went on to pop-tastic fame!
The sleeve is reasonably heavy duty pink card with red printed on it, and wrapped and stuck around a standard white paper inner. It's been in a box for years so is in excellent condition - see pictures.
The vinyl is totally unblemished and looks shiny and new, although I guess I will have played it a couple of times before putting it in the box. It is on Dirty Discs, presumably self-released, with the matrix number Rank 1.
The vinyl is etched as a PORKY PRIME CUT, and George Peckham (aka Porky) also added SID SHARK FOR WORLD DICTATOR on Side A and WHO IS THIS TRACI? on Side B, which presumably meant something to someone at the time!
I will package carefully and send out by recorded delivery, which is included in the price for the UK. If you are interested from overseas contact me first so that I can quote you the extra for shipping.
I'm also listing a couple of other early Thomspon Twins singles so if anyone is interested in buying all three then contact me and I'll give you a discount price.
