Thurston Moore - By The Fire 2LP White Label Test Pressing+Press Release
Seventh solo album by the American guitarist, featuring musicians Deb Googe (My Bloody Valentine) on bass and backing vocals, Jon Leidecker aka 'Wobbly' (of Negativland) on electronics, James Sedwards on guitar, fellow member of Sonic Youth, Steve Shelley, as well as Jem Doulton, alternating on drums. 'By the Fire' offers nine songs of enlightenment; a gathering, a party of piece - songs in the heat of the moment. Some of the songs feature all of the musicians whist a few are solo guitar and vocals.
**White Label Test Pressings, sometimes with 'test pressing' written on a label, with catalogue number, artist and recording time or date, are the first vinyl discs made at the factory. They are produced in small quantities (usually under five copies) to evaluate the quality of the disc before mass production begins.
