Soho Music are proud to present this original 1968 Boston Tea Party Concert Poster - truly rare - and featuring Tim Buckley and The Nazz. Dated January 26-27 1968. Great poster, will rate as VG++ as 1 x blemish to the bottom left and one blemish to the top right, also slight rusting to bottom left, otherwise truly excellent throughout. The poster measures approx 17.5" x 22.5".
While the Boston Tea Party was a psychedelic ballroom, the poster art was definitely not psychedelic.  Bob Driscoll created posters that were spare and minimalist, with lots of white space.
Jonathan Richman played at the Tea Party and remembers it thus:  "Wall-to-wall hippies, bikers, Harvard Students, Northeastern Students, fashion models, professors, drug dealers, art-teachers, groupies, MIT Students, photographers, local thugs, local disc jockeys, skinny-Bohemian-artist girls, visiting dignitaries from the NY art scene, and the Royalty of the Boston music set - the local singers and guitar players in their mod suits, strolling around with their beautiful girlfriends!"
