Description
I have been collecting records since 1974, just about 40 years now. Rarely have I come across a record in such pristine condition as is this copy of "It's Time For Tina" on Concert Hall Records H 1521 from1957!
First, the vinyl. The vinyl under a 100 watt bulb looks totally Mint. Then as I lowered the tone arm of my Denon DP-62L, silence during the lead-in groove to the first cut. Then the dynamic, moody, sexy music! After that, silence between cuts one and two! And, so on. The record is in beautiful condition.
The cover is also in magnificent condition. The cover photo of Tina is clean and beautiful and the borders are still white. The corners look like they have never been "bumped" and, of course, there are no seam splits, no writing, no price stickers. It's totally free of any markings whatsoever.
Before she was Ginger on Gilligan's Island, Tina did some modeling and was a supporting star on Broadway. But here, Tina sings with the Buddy Weed orchestra featuring Coleman Hawkins on alto sax. Tina does some nice standards like Embraceable You, Hands Across The Table, Let's Do It and nine others.
This is a beautiful copy of a rare LP!
