Description
Rare 1978 Todd Rundgren two-sided pre-release acetate featuring “You Cried Wolf” b/w “Onomatopoeia,” accompanied by original Bearsville Records label-copy paperwork and handwritten correspondence.
The Capitol acetate is dated 8/31/78, approximately two weeks before the single's scheduled September 13, 1978 release. Side 1 contains “You Cried Wolf” (2:30) and Side 2 contains “Onomatopoeia” (1:34). Both sides are cut at 33⅓ RPM.
Particularly interesting is the included original Bearsville Records “With Compliments” card addressed to Larry, which states: “here is the acetate of the new Todd single” and notes that it had been remixed. This paperwork provides excellent provenance for the acetate.
1 puece of paper from Larry is from earlier years, im not sure what its referring to.
Record is in poor condition, with pieces peeled off(included). Im certain mire will come off, its very brittle.
