Tolkien The HOBBIT Rankin/Bass Complete Original Soundtrack Deluxe Minty 2-LP Box Set 103 including Special Edition Booklet
This two record box set of the Rankin/Bass production of Tolkien's The HOBBIT contains the complete original soundtrack including dialogue, music and songs. In addition to the records, this box set also includes a 16 page full-color and black& white illustrated booklet containing illustrations from the animated motion picture. The front and back book covers are both flat and the pages are quite white ... although if you look closely, you can see traces of oxidation on the inner staples. The book is unread and in really good condition Thankfully none of the black & white illustrations have been colored. I seem to recall that a sheet of stickers came with the record and once again, there is no trace of any stickers on any of the pages.
I think I recall playing at least one of the records once, but I can easily grade both shiny records as NM. The inner cardboard box is still stiff but the paper at the top and bottom right corners has separated ... there is a separation in the middle of the cardboard on the bottom edge and the left edge. None of these dings keep the bottom box edges from standing up straight. The outer cardboard box is stiff with the paper separated at all four corners and with a separation in the middle of the cardboard on the left edge. None of these dings keep the top box edges from standing up straight either. The biggest issue I can see is the fading and wear of the paper along the edges of the top box. If you look closely at the upper right, you can also see the small, unobtrusive identifying signature of Linda.
I combine shipping for multiple boxed set purchases ... for up to 3 boxed sets, each additional set S&H costs are half of the previous one until S&H goes under a dollar (i.e., the first one is $3.99, the second is $1.99, and the third one is $0.99 ... you pays only $6.97 for each three boxed sets)
