Mega rare 1960 Australian only live album release by Tom Lehrer on Decca Records, distributed by EMI.  ‘Tom Lehrer Discovers Australia (And Vice Versa)’ was recorded live at Melbourne Town Hall on 21 March 1960 and Sydney Town Hall on 4 May 1960, both before sold out audiences in excess of 2,000 people.  Was conservative Australia ready for Tom Lehrer in 1960?  For the fans yes indeed, but not it would seem for the authorities, with whom his tour caused considerable controversy, particularly in Brisbane, Queensland and Adelaide, South Australia.  But what makes this recording so unique is that Tom spent three months in Australia in early 1960 and he adapted the dialogue in his shows for his Australian audiences - thankfully it was actually recorded and released!  There are detailed liner notes on LP rear jacket and superb artwork on the front cover, credited to ‘Saxton’.  Housed in original flip-back jacket in good condition with some shelf/edge wear - two splits in jacket - bottom centre and bottom right hand side, a few tears in jacket to front & rear and also spine.  Vinyl LP is in excellent condition – a few small scuffs/marks but sounds great.  This is an extremely hard to find album release – LKA 7505
