Tom Tom Club – Tom Tom Club 1981 UK Island First, Rock, New Wave EX+
Tom Tom Club is an American new wave band founded in 1981 by husband-and-wife team Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth as a side project from Talking Heads. Their best known songs include the UK top 10 hit "Wordy Rappinghood" and the US top 40 hit "Genius of Love", both from this, their 1981 debut album. The unlaminated custom printed card sleeve would grade as EX+. Very minimal storage wear - corner rubbing only. A little ring-wear when viewed at a particular angle to the light. The spine is undamaged and clearly readable. The entry edge has no noticeable wear.
The original black paper inner is undamaged apart from a number of creases. Graded as EX.
The vinyl is without doubt EX+ and has not been played much - if at all. The green (Side 1) and pink (Side 2) Island labels are unmarked apart from one or two spindle marks. On play grading there was some minimal static on the run in on both sides but nothing substantial, maybe a rare pop or click (certainly nothing to spoil the enjoyment of the record - even at high volume), during the remainder of the album. It plays superbly with very strong audio. The surface is very clean, glossy and shiny, no noticeable marks, a superb copy that conservatively grades as EX+. Others would certainly grade as NM!

An opportunity to acquire an album in brilliant EX+ condition overall.
