   For sale is Tommy James and The Shondells' Hanky Panky, originally released in 1966 by Roulette Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers A-3/B-3,  followed by an etched "sf" and "Bell Sound" These etchings signify that an early stamper was used to make this first edition that was mastered by Sam Feldman at Bell Sound Studios, N.Y.C. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it in a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ with faint sleeve marks and surface scratches. I'm play grading it between VG+ and Excellent because of occasional low level surface noise, most noticeable during the quiet parts of playback. The cover is graded as Near Mint with very minor corner blunts. The spine is Near Mint. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I bought it and still has a lot of life yet. This is the best copy of this very hard to find record that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find a first edition in any condition.
