Description
Track 613 014. 1969. Laminated fold-out gatefold cover. Sleeve has E.J. Day plus Patents Pending text. Numbered booklet: 76837. The cover has some damage to the spine and also at the two opening edges inside. (See pics). Shame to start the description in such a negative manner, but obviously these faults have to be made known. There is also some laminate lifting on the front cover on the right, this may be due to the fact that its a triple gatefold and the way it opens affects this area. But overall the cover is in clean condition with no writing or stickers. I would conservatively grade the cover at EXCELLENT MINUS, but please remember the previously mentioned faults. The limited edition booklet is clean and free from writing or stickers as well. This would grade as EXCELLENT.
The vinyl is absolutely beautiful, retaining its original gloss and shine. The labels are clean and free from writing or stickers. There are light spindle marks. A grade for the vinyl would have to be EXCELLENT PLUS. The vinyl contains the matrix numbers A//1, B//1 on both records. So, there it is, a very nice copy of the original Tommy double LP, albeit with some small damage.
