Description

Tomorrow - Tomorrow (Parlophone PCS 7042 UK 1968) Original Stereo

Original black/yellow labels with front laminated flipback sleeve. Sleeve/Vinyl:  VG/EX

Very nice copy of one of the essential UK psych articfacts from the amazing year of 1967, even though it wasn't released until spring 1968. Psychedelia which combines experimentation with irresistable pop hooks and a playful counter-cultural feel to form the perfect encapsulation of everything that was wonderful about the era and sound, beamed directly into your brain from the U-FO club circa 1967. By the time this was released, the summer of love was well and truly over and this kind of optimistic, futuristic, gently revolutionary pop was in it's death throws, which perhaps explains why this sold so poorly at the time. The underground had moved on and the pop market was never really taken with psychedelia in the first place - it was just too weird and druggy for mainstream success, apart from a few notable exceptions. This is a very nice copy only slightly let down by the writing on the reverse of the sleeve.

Condition

Record: The heavy vinyl has no visible marks even under bright light. It plays as good as it looks M-.

Sleeve: The front laminated sleeve retains it's shine and lustre and looks very nice indeed. There are a few creases in the laminate, some wear at the opening and some wear in the middle of the top and bottom edges. The spine is near perfect. Unfortunately the reverse of the sleeve has some writing - see photos - so I can only grade the sleeve overall as VG.

Labels: The labels are generally clean, but have a few faint marks. There is very little spindle wear if any indicating this has not been played many times - VG++.

Grading

M- Near perfect, no marks of any kind whatsoever. The highest grade we use for a second hand record.

EX Perhaps a few featherlight whispy marks, but no scratches or deterioration in sound

VG+ Some light marks on the vinyl, but nothing that should cause clicks or pops, just occasional light surface noise.

VG Some heavier marks and maybe a few scratches that will cause some noise, but will still be a very enjoyable listen with definitely no sticks or skips or constant surface noise.
