Toots Thielemans on Riverside 1125
This is the ultra-rare original stereo issue of Toots Thielemans “Man Bites Harmonica!” on the small (3 ½”) deep-groove labels of Riverside RLP 1125. Its rarity comes from the red and grey horizontal stereo banner, which was on the first run of all original pressings but has not been seen before on any collectors’ website. The playing surface is MINT, with a high luster; perhaps played once, if at all. The laminated reverse frame cover is in near-new condition – immaculate throughout – with just slight wear along the front opening edge. Original glassine inner sleeve is included. Personnel include Pepper Adams, Kenny Drew, Wilbur Ware, and Art Taylor
