WELCOME! I Work in a record store in Austin, Texas and I am going to be selling off some of my collection, I am starting off small, but I do have all positive feedback for records and other items, including some pricey heavy hitters and no complaints thus far thankfully. This week I'm offering some Ultra RARE and OBSCURE items from lots of genres including modern soul, disco boogie, and texas funk, some real gems included!

For auction is: Trace of Smoke - U.R. / Treasure Mind 7'' / BJ Records 8206X30 Original 1977 Pressing from Lone Star Recording, in Austin TX. Produced by Melvin Winn.
This Modern Soul Legend needs no introduction and has moved less than 2 miles from where it was originally recorded on 1204 North Lamar in Austin TX, as I found it at an unspecified location (within 2 miles of the original studio) sitting in the back, in a lovely box looking very much like it did 30 years ago when it got there, Sounds absolutely fantastic and I gave almost the entirety of the Treasure Mind track in the sample just so you can hear how good it sounds through out, the other side, A side: u.r. was played quite a few more times surprisingly, I guess at the time that was the promoted track, so it has a few pops but Treasure Mind sounds awesome. Vinyl (visual grade): VG+ for Treasure Mind Side. VG for U.R. side. (The vinyl is in good shape but has been listened to quite a few times, though carefully, there are some minor scratches and a few scuffs present, But there are less on the Treasure Mind side than the U.R. side luckily, as you can hear in the sample clip above. The sound of the 45 is really almost perfect though, only a few tiny pops during the beginning of the Treasure Mind side, more noticeable ticks and crackles occur on the U.R. side though. I would sound grade the Treasure Mind side a VG++ easily.)
Jacket/Label: VG+ (The 45 comes in a generic sleeve which i presume it was issued in, it has some minor yellowing and an X on one side, but it is just a plain generic sleeve, the label on the Treasure Mind side is flawless, and on the UR side there is some discoloration where a sticker once was. Check the 4th picture aobve for a Scan of the 45 with zoom etc.)

I try to Grade conservatively because everyone has different standards.
I use Gold Mine standard grading in ascending order of quality G, G+, VG-, VG, VG+, VG++, EX(+/-), NM, SS (or sealed unplayed).
