Description
Prestige 7393, “Deep Are the Roots” with Tracy Nelson, guitar, piano, and vocals; Charlie Musselwhite, harmonica; Peter Wolfe, guitar; Harvey Smith, piano; from 1965. Original blue-label vinyl plays at VG++ with very little background sound. Laminated jacket is in the original shrink wrap and is pretty much like new with no seamwear, splits, corner wear, ringwear, or bends; there may be faint age-toning. A small amount of dirt has found its way under the shrink on back at bottom, and a tiny price code is written at lower right where shrink has been torn away; see scan. Songs are “Motherless Child Blues”, “Long Old Road”, “Startin’ for Chicago”, “Baby Please Don’t Go”, “Oh My Babe”, “Ramblin’ Man”, “Candy Man”, “Grieving Hearted Blues”, “Black Cat Hoot Owl Blues”, “House of the Rising Sun”, “Jesus Met the Woman at the Well”, and “Trust No Man”. This is Tracy’s debut album and also (I believe) Charlie’s first recording session with a major label. Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $14.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, and Australia; elsewhere inquire. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 per LP domestic, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail for $11.75 extra is strongly recommended. (Last year, a package to the Netherlands was lost in shipment, resulting in disappointment on both sides.) Many old records are now practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs will be mailed together in a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped.
