~ Cancon Vinyl Auctions ~ You are bidding on this Ultra Rare FIRST EDITION Lp by Traffic with the original CANADA ONLY ALTERNATE COVER AND TITLE entitled "Traffic Reaping"on Stone / Island Records WI /S 4700, original Canadian Stereo pressing from 1967.
An incredibly Ultra Rare original Canadian pressing release by Stone Records of Canada Ltd. from Oshawa Canada and distributed in conjunction with Island Records.
This is the world famous CANADA ONLY ALTERNATE COVER that also features 3 alternate killer psychedelic rock tracks not included in their 1st British Lp release entitled "Mr Fantasy".
These 3 tracks are "Paper Sun", Hole In My Shoe" and "Smiling Phases".
A similar Ultra Rare version of this Lp exists in the U.S.A. with the same alternate tracks but with another different alternate title " Heaven Is In Your Mind / Mr.Fantasy "- but NOT this unique cover.
This original pressing had a very limited pressing run and was quickly replaced on the Stone label by "Mr. Fantasy" - without the alternate cover or the 3 alternate tracks.
Rumurs persist that licencing aggreements were not clearly met with all band members and that the production run was subsequently quickly withdrawn.
If you think you really enjoyed the other ultra rare Lp release on the Stone label entitled "Super Natural Fairy Tales" by pre Spooky Tooth - this Traffic psychedelic Lp gem will treat you even better!
Both front and rear covers retain all their original full crisp bright colors and the outer tan and black background colors are fabulous with almost no signs of aging!
All seams, spines, corners and jacket opening edges are incredibly fully intact, crisp, tight and almost square.
The vinyl looks almost like new except for original paper sleeve impressions and both labels are super clean without any visible spindle marks.
Impossible to upgrade this copy unless it was still sealed!
