Description
Self-titled debut album by Trapeze, the first group signed by Threshold Records ( THS - 2 ) ; a label founded by the legendary Hall-of-Fame British band, The Moody Blues. In fact, the album was produced by the bass player for the Moody Blues, John Lodge.
The sound of Trapeze had a slightly harder edge than what the Moodies were doing at the time, but the melodic and lyrical aspect of the material were fairly similar though obviously not on the same level. Some compare their sound to early Deep Purple, and one can easily understand how that comparison can be made. A very solid and creative album and one that needs to be heard by any fan of the Moody Blues or early British 'Progressive-Art Rock' music.
Gatefold Jacket: Excellent(-).....solidly constructed with heavy boards....minor corner and edge wear and some ring wear to the back. Inner-gatefold is in very nice condition.
Record: Near Mint(-)......beautiful shine to both sides with only a few sleeve removal marks which have no bearing on the splendid 1st press audio. Quite hard to find in this clean condition.
