Description
Original 1996 vinyl lp PRE-MILLENNIUM TENSION by Tricky, released in the UK on 4th & Broadway, a division of Island Records (BRLP 623). Original printed dust sleeve, constructed of rigid cardstock, is intact. Faint rubbing and spindle marks are visible on the labels.
This is about the only 'live' album with overt overdubbing I can recall that does not sound cheap or contrived. To me, this album has neither a live or a studio vibe, highly energetic but polished.
Early jock-approved commercial success in a genre that was not previously welcomed alongside Van Halen and Motley Crue. For a short while, it was. A couple of years later, Alternative got its own station. Never mind MTV, not everyone had cable.
