Bun B and Statik Selektah have teamed up for a classic collaborative project titled TrillStatik -- and the UGK founder and veteran producer recorded the entire album on a livestream on April 17.
Again, the entire album was recorded in one marathon studio session and live on camera.
The purple vinyl pressing of the TrillStatik LP was sold exclusively online during the recording session for this album, which lasted about 12 hours. Only 222 records are going to be pressed on purple vinyl worldwide. This is one of them, an absolute collector's item commemorating a historical evening of hip hop.
This is now your only chance to purchase the very limited edition purple vinyl. The record label is pressing the exact number of copies ordered during the April 17 recording session.
Recorded in Statik’s Brooklyn studio, the album showcases a heavyweight list of guest features: Westside Gunn from Griselda Records, Lil Fame of M.O.P. , Method Man, Big K.R.I.T., Fat Joe, Smoke DZA, Talib Kweli, Termanology and more.
If you missed the live stream, it was truly a sight to behold: the Trill OG in the studio writing verse after verse on camera, special mystery guests rolling through the studio to bless the project, and Statik overseeing the entire project with his dope beats banging in the background.
