Trinidad Philharmoic Steel Orchestra in Concert UK 1972 LP
British Steel Promotional LP, No catalogue number. Matrix Number: JB LP 160
British Steel, the BSC sponsored the Trinidad Philharmonic Steel Orchestra for a UK tour in 1972. Huge exposure ensued, including an appearance on BBC TV, where this album was recorded. Issued as a British Steel Promotional product where I guess it was given away.

There is no tracklisting but I found this blurb from the original BBC 2, TV Broadcast:
"In Concert
A spectacular sight and sound as this orchestra play Fame and Glory, Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor, Chopin's Nocturne in E flat, The William Tell Overture and a calypso, ' The Rope ' - all on percussion instruments made from oil drums. Not one of the 18-man group can read music; their mainly classical repertoire is specially arranged for them by their conductor"

According to info I found online the Trinidad Philharmonic Steel Orchestra was actually the famous TASPO (Trinidad All-Steel Percussion Orchestra) using an alias why the name change is not however explained
