Description

This listing is for an original Tubby Hayes 12" LP on the Fontana label titled The Tubby Hayes Quintet, recorded live at Ronnie Scott's Club in London (in May 1962).

This is a very rare and sought after recording and sure to generate some interest among collectors.

The signature you see on the back is not genuine, my father met Tubby at another concert and had him sign a scrap of plain paper which Dad later transcribed onto this LP using a sheet of carbon blue.

You can see that the back cover has at some point been tapped along the seams but the tape has been removed.

The record itself is in good condition and Dad says he only played it about a dozen times from new. It has the usual couple of very light scratches which can't be heard on playing.

Dad also has other Tubbs recordings which we can list if required, please ask.

Please also see my other rare original Hayes recordings for auction right now.

Selling to finance a new Bass Amp for Dad as he still plays jazz in and around the Bristol area in bands.

This could be a bargain for somebody. 99p start with no reserve.

Thanks for looking.
