Description

"Waiting," by Turiiya, released on Jayrem in New Zealand in 1985. An utterly unknown classic of the 80's New Zealand underground, an obscure mini-lp by a trio of women, with six extended tracks (over 30 minutes of music) - exquisite and utterly bewitching folk-pop with gorgeous, dreamy arrangements employing cello, flute, and more - a unique and wholly enchanting sound, a kind of chamber folk pop pursued by New Zealand contemporaries Look Blue Go Purple, Kiwi Animal, and Jay Clarkson. Beautiful record, an undiscovered gem. Both vinyl and cover in excellent condition. Please note my scanner cannot capture the entire width of the cover. Buyer to pay for shipping costs by credit card using Paypal. Please wait for instructions on payment and shipping after the auction closes. MA residents please add 5% for sales tax.
