“Twice Upon A Rhyme” by Paul Levinson with Ed Fox and Peter Rosenthal (Happysad Records, HS M 3000)

Gorgeous 1972 poppy light psych by a guy who wrote a bunch of obscure sunshine pop for lots of New York bands. His own outing is chock full of strummy, sunny pop tracks and a few “trippy” numbers like “Gentle Blue Cherry Bell” and “Looking For Sunsets (In The Early Morning).” It reminds me of a lost Lovin’ Spoonful or Tokens record in places, and will thrill fans of New York pop from the late 60’s. Most of the songs were written in the late 60’s, most likely for other bands.

Should appeal to fans of The Mutual Understanding, Honey LTD, Soft Soul Transition, The Groop, Eternity’s Children, Roger Nichols, Hagood Hardy & The Montage, BJ Ward, Children of Prague, Canterbury Music Festival, The Free Design and other great soft rock & pop psych LPs.

Postage for 1-2 LPs within USA: Media Mail = $4.00 or Priority Postage = $7.50, each additional LP add $2.00 (per LP).

Insurance is optional, but any uninsured package is the Buyer’s responsibility (At Your Own Risk) and I cannot refund lost or damaged packages. Insurance rates are as Follows: 0-$50.00 = $1.30; $50.01 - $100.00 = $2.20; $100.01 - $200.00 = $3.20; $200.01 and Higher = $4.20.
