Two 1960s Blue Note Records - Lee Morgan and Kenny Burrell, Considerable Wear
Hi there - Up for grabs are two 1960s Blue Note records. Both I would grade in the “Good” range. Neither have cracks or chips, but both have significant wear and markings visible under a light. Both played, but with heavy surface noise.
These could be good for a display, hanging on the wall, etc, or if you’re looking for an older pressing regardless of condition. Again, they did play technically, but didn’t sound great. They were cleaned with distilled water. Detailed specifics about each pressing below.
Lee Morgan - The Sidewinder
BST 84157 Stereo
“Van Gelder” and “Stereo” are stamped and “BNST-84157 A/B” is etched. I cannot tell if it has the plastylite ear or not. It’s very hard to tell due to the wear and markings extending into the deadwax. Not believed to be Deep Groove. I do believe this pressing is a 1964 original.
Kenny Burrell - Midnight Blue
BLP 4123 Mono
“Van Gelder” is stamped and “BNLP 4123-A/B” is stamped. I believe this is the 1967 2nd Mono pressing, due to “A Division of Liberty Records” being present on the label.
Both covers are shot, they have significant wear, but will still be included.
