Description
Hello to all record collectors !
Here are two EXTREMELY RARE prewar jazz records on Aeolian, played by Gregor (later known as Michel Warlop), recorded at Paris in December 1930. Both come in original Aeolian sleeves in almost mint condition. Gregor is also known as Gregor et ses Gregoriens in french (see below picture).
These Aeolian records are true rarities because the Aeolian catalog was quickly purchased by Ultraphone, hence extremely few specimens pressed by Aeolian. One of my collegues who has been a reputable records dealer in Paris told me that he NEVER saw these records in 30+ years and that he only had one Ultraphone which sold at a fairly high price some 10 years ago. These two records are really true collectible items and the eBay search engine won't find any copy in the completed listings so I suggest that you do not let them pass if you are a serious collector. As I am a professional dealer, I am not trying to push it, but simply explain you how rare these ones are.

G-8 (matrix 1083/1084): Oh ! Donna Clara / Gee ! It Must Be Love
G-9 (matrix 1085/1090): I Owe You / Happy Feet
Records condition:
G-8 is almost mint: very shiny, no cracks, no skips, no gray grooves, no chips. Comes in a very nice original Aeolian sleeve, almost mint except for one tear near the center (easily fixed). Please note that I might have another same Aeolian sleeve, so if I find a better one I will put it instead (it will be exactly the same one but without the center tear) and will update the auction with a picture of the replacement sleeve.
G-9 is almost mint: very shiny, no skips, no gray grooves, no chips but there is a light and thin hairline edge crack which does not affect play (no missing parts, no edge chips). Also comes in original Aeolian sleeve, almost mint (no tears). The crack is superficial in the sense that it does not go through the whole thickness of the record, so is quite solid and should not break if you take a good care of it. It only affects one side. If I manage to do so, I will take a close-up so that you know what I mean.

Please ask any question and additional photos before bidding. We are record dealers and pack our records very carefully between pieces of wood to avoid damages during transport. Of course buyer can collect in the shop if desired, else we will ship internationally registered. Insurance is optional but recommended for high prices.
PAYMENT, SHIPPING AND MISC. TERMS (FRANCAIS CI-DESSOUS) PAYMENT:
PayPal users must pay by 3 days.
French bidders must pay by 8 days.
European bidders outside of France must pay by 10 days.
Overseas bidders must pay by 14 days.
The above time frames apply once the total to pay (including shipping costs) has been given the high bidder.
Unless agreed prior to bidding, we will not accept slow payments due to holidays or similar reasons.
Too many people have been abusing of such reasons while internet is widely accessible nowadays.
ALL OTHER PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE IN EURO.

We accept the following methods of payment:

PayPal: only for foreign buyers.

Money Orders (Postal or other) in EURO ONLY.
- For payments over €200 we can take travellers cheques in EURO currency ONLY.
- Cash: accepted but not recommended due to risks of theft and loss.

Wire transfers (bank to bank) are accepted in EURO currency ONLY. Add 16 euros if you are outside of the European Union.

Foreign drafts in EURO only (these are bank checks issued by a french division of a foreign bank so that the money travels between two french banks, hence no expensive charges on our side).

French buyers can pay by personal check (held until clears).
In any case, we will NOT ship until full payment is received.
BY BIDDING YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE WITH OUR TERMS.
SHIPPING:
International bidders are welcome but no complaint against shipping costs will be accepted. Shipping costs are not negociable.
Because we run a shop, we can only pack buyer's item(s) outside of our opening hours. Therefore, heavy and/or large items will usually ship in maximum two to three weeks. Other items usually ship during the week when payment is received. Please understand that our shipping schedules cannot justify a late payment, and that a fast payment cannot expect a fast shipping.
Buyer can collect his item(s) at our shop. In this case, all items must be paid on time and will be kept maximum one month. After this time the transaction will be void and the payment will be lost.
If shipping is desired, buyer will pay actual shipping costs, which are not negociable. We reserve the right to charge the packing material purchased to ship buyer's item(s). Used packing packing material is always free. We do not charge other handling fees.
Please note that some items won't be shipped. This will be mentioned in items description should this be the case.
We can ship normal AirMail (usually 4 to 10 days) or economy AirMail (about 3 weeks). There is no insurance over $60 for international shipping except with the special Chronopost service, which is very fast (typically 2-3 days) but very expensive. We can ship registered (signature on arrival) to make sure your goods will arrive safe, but this usually takes 15 to 20 days. We can also ship UPS, FedEx or DHL upon request, but this will cost much more than the usual Post office rates.
We pack our items very well. We want them to arrive to you like we would like to receive them. However, we cannot be held responsible for items lost, stolen or damaged during transit. Such problems can only be solved with the posts.
BIDDING / FEEDBACK:
Positive feedback will be given to all successfull transactions paid on time.
We will post our feedback after having recieved yours. We apologize for doing this but too many people forgot to post theirs once we posted ours. Don't worry, we do NOT reciprocate negative or neutral feedback unless they are unfair.
We will cancel and block without exception:
- Bidders with no feedback or with recent negative feedback.
- Bidders who use an old account showing very few transactions made.
- Suspicious bids, especially those placed little by little just to make the underbidder pay the maximum.
- Bidders who retract their bid in a suspicious manner, especially to guess the underbidder's maximum bid in order to bid again just under his maximum so as to make him pay the maximum.
Do not bid at the last second: many other bidders do the same thing and this won't give you another chance to win.
We will not accept any bid retraction unless you bid again in the next two minutes and show that your previous bid was indeed mistaken.
To be fair with everybody we will not end this auction early and we will refuse personal offers.
Negative feedback will be left to deadbit bidders and late payments. Please remember that we may accept exceptional payment delays for people located far from us: please arrange this prior to bidding. Bidders failing to pay will be blocked and reported to eBay with a non-payment dispute filled.
MISC:
All items are sold as described, AS IS, without warranty.
No returns will be accepted unless evident mistakes were made in the item description.
What is pictured here is what you get: do not assume anything else is included in the auction unless specified.
We only use our own pictures and do not alter them to fake the condition of our items.

EXPEDITION, RETRAIT SUR PLACE EN MAGASIN:
L'acheteur a le choix entre l'expédition de ce qu'il a acheté ou le retrait sur place à notre magasin aux horaires d'ouverture (nos coordonnées sont soit affichées ci-dessus.
L'acheteur paye les frais d'expédition dont il choisira la méthode. Ces frais ne sont pas négociables. Nous nous réservons le droit de facturer le matériel d'emballage acheté à cet effet. Le matériel d'emballage de récupération est gratuit. Nous déclinons toute responsabilité en cas de problème durant l'envoi de tout objet. Les emballages et les expéditions étant gérés uniquement en dehors des horaires d'ouverture de notre magasin, il faudra compter maximum 2 à 3 semaines pour l'envoi des objets lourds et/ou encombrants. Les autres objets seront envoyés rapidement, typiquement dans la semaine suivant la réception du règlement. En aucun cas nos délais d'envoi ne peuvent justifier un retard de paiement, et en aucun cas un paiement rapide ne peut supposer un envoi rapide.
Certains objets ne seront pas expédiés: ceci sera alors mentioné dans leurs descriptions et l'acheteur devra venir les chercher sur place à notre magasin aux horaires d'ouverture.
Tout objet à retirer sur place devra être intégralement payé dans les délais impartis (voir ci-dessus), et sera gardé un mois maximum. Passé ce délai, le paiement sera perdu et l'objet sera remis en vente.
Les disques 33T 25cm et 30cm sont expédiés dans des boites spéciales facturées 2 euros ($3.00) en plus des frais d'expédition.
ENCHERES / EVALUATIONS (FEEDBACK):
Une évaluation positive sera donnée à tout enchérisseur sérieux honorant son enchère dans les délais impartis.
Nous posterons notre évaluation après avoir reçu la votre. Ceci ne vise pas à éviter des notes négatives de votre part, mais à ne plus être victime des oublis (comparez le nombre d'évaluations que nous avons laissées par rapport au nombre d'évaluations reçues en retour).
Nous annulerons et bloquerons sans exception:
- Les utilisateurs utilisant un compte sans évaluations, ou ayant reçu des notes négatives récentes.
- Les utilisateurs ayant un compte ancien montrant peu d'activité.
- Les utilisateurs plaçant des enchères douteuses, en particulier celles placées petit à petit pour faire payer les autres au maximum.
- Les utilisateurs rétractant leur(s) enchère(s) de façon douteuse, en particulier pour deviner le montant maximum du sous-enchérisseur pour ensuite enchérir juste en dessous afin qu'il paye le maximum.
N'enchérissez pas à la dernière seconde: d'autres personnes font la même chose, ce qui ne vous laissera pas le temps d'enchérir à nouveau.
Nous n'acceptons aucune annulation d'enchère, sauf si vous enchérissez à nouveau dans les 2 minutes suivant l'annulation.
Afin d'être équitable avec tout le monde, nous n'arrêterons pas cette vente et n'accepterons pas d'offres externes.
Un feedback négatif sera posté à toute personne ne payant pas, ou payant en retard. Toute personne ne payant pas sera ajoutée à notre liste d'enchérisseurs bloqués et une demande de suspension sera faite auprès du personnel eBay.
DIVERS:
Sauf contre indication, tous nos objets sont vendus pour ce qu'ils sont, en l'état et sans garantie.
Les disques sont vendus dans l'état décrit ci-dessus.
Ce qui est mis en vente est visible sur les photos. Nous n'utilisons que nos propres photos et nous ne les modifions pas fausser l'état de nos objets.
