Description

Here’s a pair of very rare shellac records from the Timely Recording Co. featuring music performed by Hanns Eisler. Evidently these titles were among the material that was used against Eisler in his interrogations by the House Committee on Un-American Activities. Both have full gloss and play well, but also have a few flaws. Details as follows:

Disc 1: “In Praise of Learning” (Bertolt Brecht) b/w “Rise Up”

Has two edge chips that do not affect play

Disc 2: “Forward! We’ve Not Forgotten” b/w “The Internationale”

Has one edge chip, and a tight hairline crack of about 1.5” starting at the rim.

Combined shipping available for additional records at no additional cost.
